Pakistan is a country in southeast Asia. It is bordered to the east by India, to the northeast by China, Afghanistan to the northwest and Iran to the east.
Economics[]
Pakistan is one of the poorest nations in Asia. It has one of the lowest GDPs, the lowest literacy rate and a large percentage of its population lives below the poverty line. The Pakistani economy is based primarily around natural commodities such as textiles. Its economy, despite great potential to grow, has remained underdeveloped due to misplaced funds in military and nuclear projects.
Politics[]
Pakistan is a presidential republic, although it has lived most of its history under the rule of military dictators. It has good relations with other Muslim countries, especially in the Middle East. It is one of the only countries in the world to have good relations with Afghanistan at the start of the game. However, it has very poor relations with India, its historical rival.
Military[]
Pakistan maintains a large and well-trained, well organized military force mainly to prove as a deterrent against India. It is one of the few nations in the world that starts off the game with nuclear capabilities, again mainly to prove as a deterrent against their Indian rivals.
(Note: This country normally has a war with India early on, normally resulting in India occupying Pakistan. Reference to the possible Pakistan and India War)
