Resource Sectors[]

Resources in SuperPower 2 are broken down into broad general areas that are further grouped into sectors, or categories. The production of these resources moreover constitute a country's gross domestic product.

Resource Importance and Dependencies[]

The resources are ranked in importance from highest to lowest. The most important resources required for your country to develop are those listed closer to the top of this list. Countries have the ability to produce these resources. The total sum of resources produced will equal the GDP of the country.

Resource Dependencies exist where one resource will require some number of units of one or more others to exist to enable its production. [verification needed]

Regionalization and unproduced resources[]

Resource production is created at a regional level. Regions have production capacities and the sum of those regions equates to a country's resource consumption.

Sometimes a country will not have the ability to produce a resource because none of its regions produce it. Botswana for example can't produce vehicles. In order to produce vehicles as Botswana you would have to acquire a province that produced at least $1 worth of vehicles.

Resource table[]

Below is a table containing every producible resource in the game along with some additional information about each resource.

  • Every resource is grouped into a sector or category, for instance; Food and Agriculture is an economic sector.
  • Every resource has a constant base growth rate that is boosted by a country's economic health and certain budget departments.[1]
  • Each resource has a 'base value' or 'basket value' that every single individual (that is not in poverty) in the country consumes, this value never changes.
  • If the base values are all combined; the 'percent of demand' column shows that resource's share in the total base value.
